AVIF to JPG

An .avif file that will not open in your editor or upload form can be saved as a JPG here. The same page also accepts TIFF and JFIF when that is the file you actually have.

Drop your images here or

AVIF, TIFF, JFIF, BMP, GIF. Several files are fine. Nothing is uploaded: conversion happens on your device.

Images are decoded and re-encoded in your browser. They never leave your device. EXIF metadata, including GPS location, is removed from the new file.

AVIF, TIFF, and JFIF

AVIF is a newer image format, even smaller than WebP, and some phones and websites have started using it. Browsers can show it. A lot of desktop software, forms, and printers cannot. JPG makes the picture easy to send. Choose PNG if you need to keep transparency.

TIFF is what scanners and print shops often produce, and the files are large. Converting to JPG usually cuts the size sharply, which helps when email rejects the original. Only the first page of a multi-page TIFF is converted.

A .jfif file is a JPEG with a different extension. Some sites refuse it because they only allow .jpg. This tool re-saves it as .jpg. A .jpeg file is the same format as .jpg.

JPG or PNG

Use JPG for a photo you want to publish or attach. It is small and widely accepted. Use PNG for a diagram, a screenshot, or an image with transparency that you still plan to edit. JPG fills transparent areas with the background color on the page.
